When you travel with NC By Train between Raleigh and Charlotte, your trip goes even further. With the Rail & Ride Pass, your train ticket includes connections to local transit in participating cities, so you can get where you’re going without missing a step.

Step 1: Purchase your NC By Train ticket between Raleigh and Charlotte.

Step 2: Get your Rail & Ride code - Enter your trip details here to receive your Rail & Ride code by email.* 

Step 3: Use your Rail & Ride Pass with participating transit partners along the corridor:

 *If you’re using one form of public transportation to reach your departure station and another to reach your final destination, please submit the form separately for each mode to receive both codes.

With five transportation connections in the Piedmont region, NC By Train’s Rail & Ride pass gets you where you want to be. It works on Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART), Winston-Salem Transit Authority, High Point Transit System (HPTS) and LINK Transit. Greensboro Transit Agency will join the program Oct. 1.

The Ride & Rail pass works with Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) buses and light rail system.

    • Area: Local Bus & LYNX 
    • Ticket Type: Day Pass 
    • Rider Type: Adult 
    • Add to cart → tap “Enter Promo Code” 
  • Enter your code from your email 
  • Your pass will appear in your wallet 
  • When boarding, “Slide to Activate” your ticket
