All children age 2-12 can travel at 50 percent off the adult fare.
Infants Ride Free: One infant under the age of two may ride free with each passenger paying an adult fare. Free infants ride on lap of the adult. Additional infants per adult travel at the child fare.
Unaccompanied Minors
Reservations for children 13-15 can only be made under certain conditions and only by calling Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL.
- Children 12 and under may not travel without another person who is at least 18 years old.
- Children 16 and older may travel without restriction.
